Eclipses of autumn 2024

Autumn represents a transition in nature focused on letting go and closing. This autumn in particular brings a very strong energy of transformation due to the upcoming eclipses on the Pisces-Libra axis. A period of great change and evolution is coming in our internal processes and, just like the leaves on the trees, we must shake off the old and what no longer serves us to make room for something new to arrive. It is time to be reborn.

Eclipse season is the time period in which a lunar eclipse and a solar eclipse occur. It is usually felt from two weeks before until two weeks after and its intensity varies according to its influence on our astral chart. Eclipse season represents a time of profound, dramatic and total transformation and evolution, where we must work on certain issues represented by the signs where these eclipses occur, as well as the areas of life that they activate according to the houses in our astral chart.

As these eclipses occur on the Libra-Pisces axis, we are seeing a transition of themes, as the eclipses of the Aries-Libra polarity that we have been working on for the past couple of years are coming to a close. Now we will begin to work on the Virgo-Pisces polarity where new themes arise that call for transformation and balance.

First we will have the lunar eclipse in the mystical and redemptive sign of Pisces on September 17, which will ask us to free ourselves from wounds and experience deep healing through forgiveness. Two weeks later we will have the solar eclipse in the peaceful and balanced sign of Libra on October 2 , where we will be asked to start a new life, much more loving and harmonious.

Aries-Libra Eclipses (2022-2025)

Over the last couple of years we have been asked to work on achieving a balance between Self and Other. We have had to find a healthy balance between our personal needs and the needs of others, how to balance competitiveness and cooperation , knowing when to fight and when to use tactful diplomacy to get what we want, etc. It is also about creating a new, healthier Self that can take care of itself without neglecting others.

Everything in astrology has to be considered from a general perspective. A new stage is coming soon with the entry of Saturn and Neptune into the sign of Aries starting next year, especially because they form a conjunction at degree 0 of Aries , which is the point that represents innate potential in the zodiac. I feel that what we have worked hard on in the last eclipse seasons with this axis is part of the foundations we have laid for what is coming in the future (I will tell you more about it later). The fact that it is not over yet (since we have a lunar eclipse in Libra now and in 2025 there is a solar eclipse in Aries) is that we still have the opportunity to work on it as best we can for what is coming.

Part of what awaits us has to do with major changes on an external scale, but for now we will focus on the internal processes that it represents. We must polish (Saturn) and refine (Neptune) our Aries expression of courage, action and vigor: above all, work on what is the Self. The opposite and complementary sign to Aries in the zodiac wheel is Libra, who represents the perfect complement of harmony to the bellicosity of Aries as well as the focus on others vs. selfishness. The eclipses of the last few years have helped us to perfect and balance these polarities so that in the coming decades we can work on them with the integrated Libra counterpart.

Virgo-Pisces Eclipses (2024-2027)

In the coming years we are being asked to find a balance between our material and spiritual needs; when to be practical and when to dream, when to be self-critical and when to be self-compassionate. Virgo rules everything on the physical and material plane, as well as the mental, and seeks to improve both itself and its environment, using its skills and putting its services into practice for the good of others. On the other hand, Pisces also seeks the common good but from a spiritual plane because it is connected to the emotional and soul plane, it lives with dreams and with divinity, it seeks to elevate itself to a higher plane and undo the ego.

These eclipses on the Virgo-Pisces axis will ask us to find a balance between our material care and spiritual care, physical service and Soul service,

Pisces dissolves and undoes, just like the water that is carried in its current, and helps us purify our energy. Being the opposite and complementary sign to Virgo, both energies represent purification: Virgo is material, physical and mental purification, while Pisces is emotional and soul purification. Virgo renews and repairs on a physical and material level, which is why its energy is associated with health and cleanliness. This eclipse combo, therefore, comes to purify us on a physical and spiritual level.

The last time we had this eclipse axis was between 2015 and 2017. You may recognize some of the themes that arose then that are now appearing in other ways, situations, people, or challenges. Lunar Eclipse in Pisces: September 17, 2024

The lunar eclipse is like a full moon, but more powerful. It asks us to do a much deeper and more transformative release and healing. Perhaps certain bottled emotions or sensations will emerge, as it represents a climax and a necessary release for our evolution.

Being the last sign of the zodiac wheel, Pisces represents an end and therefore this lunar eclipse is like a black hole, absorbing everything that no longer has a place in your life and that has come to an end. In other words, it is a powerful time to close cycles with force that you may have already seen coming. Pisces represents an end, but also inherent in its energy is the promise of the seeds of the new. Solar Eclipse in Libra: October 2, 2024

After releasing and closing cycles with the energy of the lunar eclipse in Pisces, the solar eclipse in Libra arrives, which represents a new beginning, just like the new moon, but much more powerful. It asks us to plant the seeds of a potential life full of peace, harmony, balance and love. That is why it complements very well with the need to forgive in Pisces, since once you forgive, this moment of acceptance arrives, but also of peace and opening up to new possibilities.
